It is time for another Top Ten Tuesday and since it is Spring where I am, I decided to showcase some spooky books instead of autumnal books. I’m really getting into the whole vibe of October and in the mood for some spooky and mysterious books!

City of Ghosts

1. City of Ghosts – Victoria Schwab

This middle-grade cover is absolutely is chilling with the silhouette of the little girl and the black cat emerging from the mist. I have never read a Victoria Schwab book before and this might just be my first as it’s a pick for one of the book-clubs I’m attempting to keep up with.

The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires

2. The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires – Grady Hendrix

Okay this cover is eerie with the vampire bite on the peach. I love the way it looks, and this book has had so much hype on the bookternet, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it.

Resurrection Girls

3. Resurrection Girls – Ava Morgyn

I know less than nothing about this book but I was drawn to the cover. The letter, the skeleton hand, the sleeve of the dress. It all just called out to me…

They Wish They Were Us

4. They Wish They Were Us – Jessica Goodman

Okay this cover looks like Gossip Girls meets Pretty Little Liars in the best way possible. I am a huge fan of private schools and the drama that goes along with it, and this looks like a friend circle became tainted.

Bunny

5. Bunny – Mona Awad

This isn’t immediately spooky, but I have heard things about this book that makes it seem a lot creepier. Definitely excited to get to it for another book club read.

Small Spaces

6. Small Spaces – Katherine Arden

I have yet to read any of this author’s work, but I have heard great things. This cover just looks so creepy and spooky and I used to be absolutely terrified of Jeepers Creepers, so this is giving me doubts about reading the book, but I will have to be brave.

Horrid

7. Horrid – Katrina Leno

Katrina Leno has written some wonderfully whimsical novels and I am excited to read her latest book. The black roses taking over the cover makes it very intriguing and I cannot explain how much I NEED to read this book asap.

Thirteens

8. Thirteens – Kate Alice Marshall

Rules for Vanishing is the book that got me craving thrillers and mystery books this year so you best believe I will be reading Thirteens soon. Another creepy looking wood with some interesting characters lurking in the background… bring it on.

A Deadly Education

9. A Deadly Education – Naomi Novik

This is another author who I have heard amazing things about, so I look forward to reading her newest book, which happens to be Dark Academia. A book with a magical book on the cover – sign me up (hopefully secret societies are involved).

The Damned

10. The Damned – Renee Adieh

So, I haven’t exactly read the first book in this series but look how stunning this cover is! I am so happy that vampires are back in again, and looking better than ever.

Wow, this post took ages to upload with my slow internet, but I am happy I stuck with it. I love how the pictures turned out and I can’t wait to read all of these deliciously spooky books!

Do you have any spooky recommendations?

Lots of love

Bianca
