I absolutely adored this book and all the little stories!
Finally, Simon gets to be a part of the Shadowhunters and this is his journey through the newly reopened Shadowhunter Academy. He is a war hero who cannot remember how he became one. He is back to being his old geeky self before Clary saw Jace on that fateful day at Pandemonium.
He has always felt like an outsider, even when he was a vampire and part of the Downworld, he never truly belonged with his best friend Clary. Now with all of his experiences and memories slowly returning he is in a key position to influence the thoughts of a new era of Shadowhunters.
I love how he creates an impact on everyone’s lives and their prejudices slowly change and become more inclusive. Simon is one of the best things to happen to the Shadowhunters, and they better know it.
I finished this book in about 3 days because I was hooked from the start and couldn’t wait to find out if Simon would get his memories back and succeed at becoming a Shadowhunter, finding his way back to Izzy and Clary.
This is one of my favourite books in the series hands down.
