Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Franny Banks is an aspiring actress who doesn’t see her worth. She makes a few wrong turns while attempting to follow her dreams before her deadline.
I really loved this book. It is contemporary fiction and you really fall in love with the characters and their journey. Franny is so relatable, even to someone whose dream isn’t to be an actress. I have a different dream but sometimes I also feel like it’s unattainable.
Franny doesn’t see how talented she really is and ends up making a few choices that go against her gut, eventually playing a role in her own life as well as on screen. She pretends to be something she is not, in an attempt to fit in to this world she so desperately wants to belong to.
She eventually realizes how much she has been undervaluing herself, and she listens to her heart to make some better decisions.
I hope we can hear more about Franny’s life in a sequel soon.
I truly love everything Lauren Graham has produced and I am aching for more.
