Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

Okay, so I ended up liking this book more than its predecessor. It was a bit more interesting all around.
I was particularly intrigued by Magnus’ role in the story as he is also a central character in The Mortal Instruments. I’m glad I decided to read these books in publication order, else I would have missed a lot of references to The Infernal Devices characters in the other series.
However, I do feel that the characters are a tad recycled. We again have the love triangle and the confused girl. She ends up picking the handsome boy with the ailment, instead of the other gorgeous but brooding boy who has stolen her heart.
I look forward to reading the final installment to find out who ends up with who, and whether they will finally defeat the Magister or not. The cliffhanger at the end definitely promises drama.
