Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
Excellent writing as usual. The world of Shadowhunters was opened to me once more after watching the Netflix series and becoming curious about the characters again. I decided to reread them all in publication order and this was my latest read (I finished the first 3 super quickly).
After going through my reading slump in high school, (and not finishing this book the first time around) I was much more capable of reading the second time around and finally finished it. I thought I read it completely the first time and just didn’t like it, but it turns out I only read a few chapters and randomly stopped – silly scatterbrain.
Although the story did not capture me as much as that of Jace and Clary, I am still intrigued to finish the series. Tessa is a mystery and doesn’t even know herself. I’m looking forward to finding out more about her, as I’m sure she is too.
I enjoyed the different mysteries presented in the book and I’m excited to discover the truth behind them. What is Will hiding?
The Shadow world of years ago in London is quite different to that of present day New York, and I am curious to discover what happens when reading the books in publication order (which I did not do the first time around). I wonder how the tales intertwine and what new knowledge will be revealed (if any).
I gave the book a 5 star rating this time around after enjoying it much more (before it was a 3).
