The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.

Okay I have been very far behind with my book reading plans. I admit I have been jumping around all over the place and I haven’t finished a book in a while. I have a legitimate excuse – Life Happens!

I really am working on using the Forest App (from the iStore) more often lately so that I can concentrate with no distractions. Today I decided to read The Alchemist because it has been on my mental To Read List for a while (speaking of, I need to remake my physical To Read List soon). After having two friends recommend it to me again, I decided that taking 2 hours to read it today will be a good way to avoid studying focus my mind.

It really is a lovely novel with so many profound messages and ideals. Everyone should read this book at least once in their life. As many people have said, the lessons in the book are applicable to all of human kind and everything else in the universe too. The journey of the boy is symbolic to me in so many ways and every other line is quotable and all the words are something to live by.

I have learned a few of these truths myself recently and this is yet another sign that I might be on the right path to realise my Personal Legend and discover the Soul of the World.

It is beautifully written, timeless and simply a classic. The journey to bring this book to the world is also an amazing story. I hope this book may find its way to many more souls so that we can grow together.

I have been inspired by a mirror soul and I am optimistic about where the rest of the omens will lead. Perhaps I too will meet a Gypsy or a King. Or maybe my omens are in the form of a Student and  a Lecturer…

  1. I do like Paulo Coelho’s works a lot. His first book I read was Veronika Decides to Die. It’s a must-read as well. 🙂
