What can I say except I LOVE MAGNUS BANE!
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of stories from the Shadowhunter universe.
It was fun to travel through time with our immortal friend. The stories of his adventures provide some further insight and background information on other events that have happened so far.
We see how Magnus interacts with various Shadowhunter and Warlock friends, getting into some good old mischief along the way.
Characters from Infernal Devices and Mortal Instruments seamlessly blend together in the mind of Magnus Bane. Some of the younger characters remain unaware that Magnus spent quite a lot of time with their ancestors, and seeing everything from his point of view adds to the fun.
Some of my favourites include his interactions with Tessa and Jocelyn. We see him find joy in his relationships as well as the pain of losing them, as happens when one lives forever.
I’m looking forward to seeing the conclusion of Clary’s story in the next book and how it transitions to Clare’s latest trilogy, The Dark Artifices.
